    apexart is a nonprofit arts organization in Lower Manhattan that was conceived to offer opportunities to independent curators and emerging and established artists, as well as to challenge ideas about art, its practice and curation. apexart presents exhibitions, an international residency, a book publishing initiative and public programs and events.

  • 14 Sculptors Gallery

    Manhattan

    In 1973, 14 sculptors founded this nonprofit gallery in SoHo, exclusively for the exhibition of contemporary sculpture. Shows change about every four weeks and emphasize both figurative and abstract work.

  • 401 Projects

    Manhattan

    401 Projects is a noncommercial photography gallery in the West Village, created as an exhibition space to showcase the work of both emerging and well-established artists. Many of the exhibits here are mounted by artists to benefit charities.

  • 443 PAS @ Kevin M Absec Designs

    Manhattan

    443 PAS exhibits contemporary art by emerging and established artists in the setting of an interior design firm, Kevin M. Absec Designs. It also holds a monthly poetry series, as well as a regular series of film screenings, publishing events and panel discussions.

  • 548 Center

    Manhattan

    The venue space works with museums, foundations, institutions, consulates, galleries, corporations and individuals to provide a venue for international arts and culture.

  • 8th Floor

    Manhattan

    The 8th Floor is a private gallery and event space established by Shelley and Donald Rubin to promote cultural and philanthropic initiatives. Exhibitions range from historic propaganda art from China to contemporary video art works by Cuban artists.
